5th graders celebrated their many achievements at Thursday’s awards assembly.  Awards in athletics, academics, clubs, choir, and band were given to students. 

Hermes also continued the tradition of “Student of the Year.”  Ten students were nominated from the five classes for their academic achievements, school involvement, and character.  The nominees were Juan Sosa, Liliana Nevarez, Lizeth Contreras, Xiomara Roman, Cleidy Hernandez, Xiomara Soria, Paloma Ramirez, Krystal Ramos, Ernesto Dominguez, and Michelle Samano.  

The overall winner was Xiomara Roman.  Xiomara will have the honor of ringing the bell Friday, May 31st at dismissal to signal the end to the 2018-2019 school year and the beginning of summer!
