Hermes student Alejandro Cervantes was feeling very excited Friday night as he and principal, Mr. Dart, stepped on the new football field at East Aurora High School.
“There were a LOT of people there!” Alejandro said.
Alejandro was the Hermes representative at the ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate the new football stadium. The piece of ribbon he cut now sits in the Hermes trophy case alongside the trophies from past intramural sports teams. His family stayed to watch his older brother play bass drum in the half time show with the EAHS Marching Tomcats.
When asked if he had a good time, Alejandro said, with a big smile, “YES! I think my mom was proud of me, and I was glad I was picked!”
