About Your Teacher
I am a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan.  Since you’re in my classroom, you probably already know this though.  Everything I learned about baseball and the Cubs I learned from my dad.  He’s a big sports fan, too.  When the Cubs won the world series last year, I was SO EXCITED!

I am also a big animal lover!  Addison, or Addy for short, is my 7 year old Husky-German Shepherd.  Mr. Pasturczak and I adopted her from an animal shelter when she was only 4 months old.  She is very smart, and she has a lot of energy!  

This is my 10th year teaching at Hermes, and I couldn’t be happier!  I married m husband, Mr. Pasturczak, during Summer 2015.  That’s when my name changed from Miss Huellen to Mrs. Pasturczak, or “Mrs. Pzak” for short!  Our daughter, Claire, will turn 2 this year.  Mr. Pzak and I love spending time with her and watching her grow!  

I went to college at Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in 2008.  I have been working at Hermes ever since.  I received my Master’s Degree from Concordia University in December 2013, too.  I am also our school’s Webmaster, which means that I update our Hermes website.  I love working with 5th graders, and I think the students in our school are the absolute best!
